Perrysburg Township Firefighters IAFF Local 4170

Perrysburg Township Firefighters IAFF Local 4170 is the labor organization representing the professional firefighters of Perrysburg Township.

Local 4170 is affiliated with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), the largest organization representing professional firefighters and emergency medical personnel in the United States and Canada. Through the IAFF, our members are part of a national organization dedicated to firefighter safety, fair working conditions, professional standards, and strong fire and emergency services.

At the state level, Local 4170 is affiliated with the Ohio Association of Professional Fire Fighters (OAPFF). OAPFF represents professional firefighters throughout Ohio and provides legislative advocacy, labor support, education, training, and resources to affiliated Locals and their members.

Through our affiliations with the IAFF and OAPFF, Local 4170 has access to the collective knowledge, experience, and resources of professional firefighters throughout Ohio and across the country. These organizations provide our members with a stronger voice on issues affecting the fire service, workplace safety, labor relations, and the communities we serve.

Our Mission

Local 4170 is committed to representing our members and promoting safe, professional, and fair working conditions. We advocate for the resources, staffing, training, equipment, and workplace protections necessary for firefighters to safely perform their duties.

We also recognize our responsibility to the community. Strong representation and safe working conditions help ensure that professional firefighters are prepared and equipped to provide the highest level of emergency service when our community needs us.

International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF)

The IAFF represents professional firefighters and emergency medical personnel throughout the United States and Canada and provides national advocacy, resources, education, and support for its members.

Ohio Association of Professional Fire Fighters (OAPFF)

OAPFF represents professional firefighters across Ohio and works on behalf of its affiliated Locals through legislative advocacy, education, labor support, and efforts to advance firefighter and public safety.
